Beautiful Ugly, by Alice Feeney

 I have read many times that someone was "traumatized" by a book they loved. I never had that happen until I read this book!
Alice Feeney has so many twists and turns in Beautiful Ugly, I thought I was going to have to take Dramamine to finish it! This thriller was my favorite read of 2024.
The book blurb tells us that writer Grady Green has called his wife to share some amazing news. Abby is driving home. He hears her slam on the brakes and get out of the car... and then nothing. When he finds her car, she is gone. A year later, she is still missing, and his life is a shambles. He is offered the use of a writers cabin in the woods on a small island in Scotland, and he packs up what's left of his life and heads to Scotland. While on this island that is getting creepier and creepier, he sees.... a woman who looks identical to his wife.
That is only the tip of the iceberg! I can't begin to tell you the emotional roller coaster I was on through this book, but I can tell you that you MUST read this book!!
